Hidden Agenda
When the FBI can't protect a witness, it's up to ex-agent Price (Dolph Lundgren) and his own protection program to take them underground.
JASON PRICE is a private investigator who makes clients disappear. He specializes in running people underground with new identities. He’s so good that even government agencies turn to him rather than the FBI when they want someone to vanish permanently. In the ten years he’s been operating, Price has never lost a client.
But everything changes when SONNY MATHIS, Price’s best friend, asks for a favor. Sonny, an FBI agent, is on the run from the JERICHO GROUP, a crime syndicate, that has put out a contract on his life to a legendary hit man known only as THE BAKER. Though the assassin’s identity is unknown, one thing is certain: the Baker rarely misses. Sonny implores Price to put him into his labyrinthine network – or face certain death.
Price reluctantly agrees, but the operation goes sour and Sonny is killed. All indications are that the hit was made by the Baker. The FBI descends on Price, charging him with obstruction of justice and accessory to the murder of a federal agent.
Afterwards, Price withdraws from everyday life to a remote corner in Maine where he runs a small restaurant. But Price’s days of tranquility and isolation are short-lived.
A beautiful, mysterious woman, RENEE BROOKS, shows up one day and asks Price to hide her. Renee was an insider at Jericho and had an affair with Sonny, then, an undercover agent. Jericho found out and put out a contract on her life – to the Baker!
Though Price suspects there is more here than meets the eye, he agrees to help her in order to trap the killer. In an action-packed sting, he nearly nails the assassin, only to have the FBI inadvertently foil the plan. Renee escapes into Price’s network.
But a few days later, Price gets another visitor: Sonny! Price is furious that he’s emerged; he did time in jail to keep Sonny’s false death a secret. Sonny, fearful, tells Price that the Baker is on his trail – the assassin has somehow infiltrated the network. Price can’t believe it, he’s been careful. Then Sonny drops a bombshell: the Baker is Renee.
Price, realizing that she is now inside his network, must reactivate his dormant control center in downtown Baltimore because clients, who have been under for years but still have contracts out on their lives, may be at the mercy of the assassin. He takes Sonny to the control center and pinpoints Renee’s position.
On a thrilling cross-country chase, Price tracks her down. But, she reveals something startling: she’s really FBI pursuing a double-agent – Sonny, who’s the real Baker.
Price returns and finds that his control center’s been ravaged. He also discovers that the killer has located a target for termination, an executive Price ran underground long ago, and the Baker’s only miss – who still has a contract of $10 million on his head.
In a gripping, eerie, fog-laden finale at the Boston wharf, Price and Renee hunt Sonny down, trying to stop the hit. But as the action unfolds, a shocking deception lies in wait for Price and he finds himself fighting to uncover the true identity of the killer – is it his best friend, Sonny, or his new love, the enigmatic and sexy Renee…?
